Currys has hopped onto the World Cup bandwagon with the latest money back deal tied to England’s chances. But this time rather than relying on the fairly remote chance of the Three Lions lifting the cup, it’s all about goals…
Currys World Cup deal differs from the raft of other World Cup gadget deals we’ve seen because it’ll reward you for the goals England score. Currys promises to pay back a £10 for every goal if you go into a store, buy an HD TV worth £599 or more and register online.
You need to buy a new telly from a Currys store between now and June 11 and hop online within 3 days of buying your new set to print out a certificate. Currys World Cup cashback offer excludes penalties and own goals so you won’t profit from poor defending or even perfect penalty scoring.
Once the World Cup is over, you’ll just need to note down how many goals England have slotted in the back of the net and send your claim to Currys along with your receipt. That all needs to arrive no later than 7 August. If the Currys World Cup cashback offer had run during the tournament in 2006, you’d have netted £60 so don’t expect a huge windfall.
