Assassin’s Creed 3 is due this year according to Ubisoft and now a new website registration has revealed a possible name for the third Assassin’s Creed adventure – Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Is it really the final name for Assassin’s Creed 3 or a clue to something else entirely?
Ubisoft snaffled up the domain assassinscreedbrotherhood.com on April 14. While the developer could be just grabbing the address just in case, with Assassin’s Creed 3 coming soon, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood could be a pretty good name.
Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed 3 will be the first episode in the series to feature online multiplayer so the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood website could even be an online destination of Assassin’s Creed players.
No details on the setting for Assassin’s Creed 3 have been confirmed. When we interviewed Assassin’s Creed game director, Benoit Lambert, about Assassin’s Creed 2, he revealed that Ubisoft has been toying with several historical eras:
“At the end of Assassin’s Creed, people thought it would be Japan next and we talk about the Maya people. We’ve also discussed the French Revolution as a setting.”
Benoit also mentioned China, Russia and North America. If Assassin’s Creed 3 does become Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, we could see several of those.
