Doctor Who: The Adventure Games will launch on June 5 with City Of The Daleks, which will begin in the ruins of ‘60s London and see the Doctor and new sidekick Amy Pond taking on the new multi-coloured Daleks. Can we play Doctor Who: The Adventure Games and hide behind the sofa?
The first of four new Doctor Who game episodes for PC and Mac, City Of The Daleks will arrive as a free download in June. As we saw in the first Doctor Who: The Adventure Games images, London is totally destroyed by the new Daleks who appeared in last Saturday’s Doctor Who episode, Victory Of The Daleks.
We’re promised that City Of The Daleks will then take players to Skaro, the Daleks’ home planet. The first Doctor Who: The Adventure Games episode is written by Phil Ford who helped pen the Doctor Who kids spin off, Sarah Jane Adventures, and has been overseen by Doctor Who show boss Stephen Moffat.
Ford says: “These new Daleks don’t like to be messed with, so players are about to enjoy a new interactive episode which is as heart-pulsing as anything you’ve seen before.” That sounds good but we couldn’t help but think the new multi-coloured Dalek design looked a little bit pony. We’re more frightened about the prospect of a virtual Jeremy Clarkson in a Top Gear game.
