The Dell Lightning, the first proper Windows Phone 7 Series phone we’ve spotted (though we’ve peeked an LG prototype before), has hopped onto the web in a big batch of leaked Dell slides. It’s a vertical slider phone like the Palm Pre and the first renders look pretty electric. Read on for striking Dell Lightning specs…

While the Dell Lightning images in the leak are just renders, the spec listing is pretty stunning. It’s 3G (though the leak hints at an upgrade to 4G in late 2011), has a speedy 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB of flash, 512MB of RAM and a 4.1in OLED screen.

The Dell Lightning will also pack in a 5MP camera with autofocus, GPS, an accelerometer, compass and FM Radio. Those are all features we’d expect these days but interestingly, Dell is promising full Flash support.

While Microsoft has said that Windows Phone 7 Series won’t launch with Flash support, the Dell Lightning is pegged to arrive in Q4 2010 which suggests it will be in the first batch of Windows Phone 7 Series phones.

Let us know what you think of the Dell Lightning in the comments. Are you tempted by Windows Phone 7 Series or have you only got eyes for Android or iPhone 4G?

Just ditched my iPhone and got an Android phone but would jump ship for something amazing. I want a phone not toy and still feel that Android/iPhone are toys first and phones second. Microsoft need to bridge the gap between Blackberry and these toys. Oh and not centre it around Facebook, I am so bored of my 200 so called ‘friends’ I haven’t even set it up on my new phone!
