Donkey Kong Jr lands on DSiWare

Donkey Kong Jr has just turned up on DSiWare, letting users of the Nintendo DSi XL get in on some classic early 1980s Game And Watch action for the sum of 200 Nintendo DSi points.

And Donkey Kong Jr, in which you guide the eponymous ape through a trap-packed jungle in order to rescue Donkey Kong Sr from a cage, isn’t the only new title to hit DSiWare. There are two other Game and Watch titles, Ball and Flagman, with each featuring a fully functioning clock in true retro style.

There are also a couple of pricier games, each setting you back 500 Nintendo DSi points. Earthworm Jim is a remake of the SNES platformer with a new feature for DSi: a face tracker that scans your fizzog using the DSi’s front camera and gives you bonuses for pulling different expressions.

Then there’s Flipper. This has nothing to do with dolphins, with the Flipper of the title being a lost goldfish. You play his owner, a young boy, who must travel through several worlds of puzzle platforming in order to rescue his be-gilled pal.
