LittleBigPlanet 2 is apparently in the works, if a loose-lipped tweet from musician Christopher Leary (also know as Ochre) is to be believed. He said on Twitter this weekend that his song Infotain Me has been licensed by Sony for use in LittleBigPlanet 2. Is the second coming of Sackboy on the way?
IGN spotted the tweet from Ochre which said: “Pleased to announce the licensing of Infotain Me to Sony for Little Big Planet 2 on PS3.” It has since been removed. While the message seemed pretty unambiguous, Sony has refused to comment.
A Sony executive appeared to accidentally mention LittleBigPlanet 2 back in March but there have also been suggestions that the game will get extra DLC and Playstation Move support rather than a full LittleBigPlanet 2 sequel.
Sony bought Media Molecule, the studio that makes LittleBigPlanet, in February and executives there previously shot down suggestions of a sequel though LittleBigPlanet 3D has been promised.
What do you think? Is Ochre singing the wrong tune or does Sony have LittleBigPlanet 2 waiting to hit the stage?
