Natal video showing the way Microsoft’s motion sensing system recognises players has hit the web. The Natal video shows it’s smart enough to realise what gender you are (using facial recognition rather than anything more smutty) and can track two players at once. Read on for a glimpse of how Natal will see you…

At Microsoft Israel’s Think Next exhibition, Microsoft Xbox 360 vice-president, Dr Ilan Spillinger, showed how Natal sees players. In the Natal video, the avatars are rendered in fuzzy Predator style infrared but that’s because you’re getting a peek at its underlying functions rather than a polished game.

The Natal video seems to show that Microsoft has eradicated the Natal delay issues we’d been warned about before. It also makes it clear that Natal can distinguish between men and women and copes fine with players wandering off.

Based on this admittedly basic glimpse at the motion sensing smarts in Natal, do you think it’ll best the Wii and Sony Playstation Move?
