Sky Player is headed to Humax Freeview HD boxes, the satellite TV giant has announced. Soon, you’ll be able to pipe pay TV to your Freeview HD set up whenever the urge takes you, so read on for the details, and the models supported.
Sky Player is already headed to Freeview HD boxes from plucky upstarts like 3View, but now it’s hitting Humax’s line too. If your Humax HD-FOX T2 is hooked up to the net, you’ll be able to get all the on-demand goodness and live channels your Sky package allows, or pay for them month by month, which is great news for sports fans who only want to tune in for certain events each year.
Sky Player Freeview plans ramp up
Sky Player will also be headed to Humax’s first Freeview HD PVR with a 500GB hard disk, expected in a few months. Unfortunately, Sky has yet to reveal just how soon “soon” actually is for a Sky Player roll out on Humax Freeview HD boxes, but we’ve contacted the broadcaster, as well as Humax itself to clarify.
