A Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse gameplay video has slipped onto the web before the arrival of the first of the five episodes tomorrow. The Penal Zone has already arrived on iPad but lands on Mac, PC and Playstation Network on Thursday. Take a gander at the Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse gameplay video to see whether you should grab it…
With a plot that seems to take in a giant space gorilla and Max, the mildly-sociopathic rabbit gaining psychic powers, Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse definitely looks like it’ll be a giggle. The Penal Zone arrived in the first wave off iPad apps and costs £5.99 but from tomorrow you’ll be able to grab all five episodes for PS3, Mac or PC for $34.95 (£22.67).
The subsequent episodes of Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse – The Tomb of Sammun-Mak, They Stole Max’s Brain, Beyond the Alley of the Dolls and The City That Dares Not Sleep – will be released once a month until July. If all the episodes on the iPad cost the same as The Penal Zone, you’ll end up paying more the iPad version than on PC, Mac or PS3.
If you’re partial to classic point and click games but aren’t a fan of the Freelance Police, Monkey Island 2: Special Edition is just round the corner too.
Out tomorrow | £22.67 | Telltale Games
