The Nokia N8 monster smartphone was a no show at yesterday’s handset launch, but we might have to wait longer than a few weeks for the much rumoured phone. A new rumour tips the supposed Symbian 3 phone to launch as late as the Summer.
The Nokia N8 is still not official, but a few choice spyshots last month point to a 12 megapixel smartphone with no keyboard. Recent leaks had alleged that the Nokia N8 was due for an April unveiling, but now one tipster says it might not appear until July.

GSM Arena’s insider says that O2 UK was ready to stock the Nokia N8 from the end of May, but that target window has now been pushed back by a month and a half. GSM Arena’s broken Nokia news before, outing the first image of the Nokia E75, so it’s got a track record on Espoo spoilers.
That’s disappointing news if the case across networks, as it’s approaching a year and a half since the Nokia N97 was announced, and we’ve seen no top end Symbian replacement during that time.
Of course, Nokia usually announces new phones several months before global shipping, so we could still hear official word on a Nokia N8 later this month. Fingers and toes crossed!
