Adobe CS5 has just landed, and among the new features of the do-it-all design package is Flash Catalyst CS5 – a clever tool that allows designers to create Flash-based web apps without actually writing code.

Good news for less techie types, as they can quickly build interactive apps using Photoshop and Illustrator graphics. And there’s more: Adobe CS5 will soon add Flash Catalyst support for Android, BlackBerry and Palm webOS, meaning designers without extensive coding experience will be able to speedily knock up gorgeous flash apps for mobile phones.

And what about the iPhone and iPad? Well, Adobe CS5 Flash Catalyst is billed as compatible with those too – but unfortunately it seems that Apple’s new iPhone OS 4 terms and conditions render that useless. Boo!
