Creative Zen X-Fi Style PMP heads to the UK: see the photos

A new Creative Zen X-Fi Style media player is official and winging its way to our shores this month, complete with lossless audio format support and a low pricetag. Read on to see the photos, plus its new little brother, the Creative Zen Style, too.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a new Creative PMP hit the shops, but now the Creative Zen X-Fi Style is here to make amends. The Creative Zen X-Fi Style packs a 2.4-inch screen (A slightly boxy 320×240 resolution), but a much more enticing TV out option and FLAC file support for playing back tracks with perfect sound. It also boasts a battery good for 25 hours of audio and five of video, an FM radio, and 8, 16 or 32GB of of flash memory to stash it all on.

Creative Zii sets standard for Android phones: Will anyone use it?

Alongside the Creative Zen X-Fi Style, the smaller cheaper Zen Style series has also been served up. The screen is only a poxy 1.8-inches wide, but it packs a battery good for 32 hours, and iPod nano matching capacities of 4/8/16GB. The Creative Zen Style 300 also has an FM radio and speaker, which the cheaper 100 model lacks. But with prices ranging from £79.99 down to just £34.99, we can’t complain.

Of course, it’s tempting to write off the Creative Zen X-Fi Style in a world full of iPod touches with apptastic, multitasking iPhone OS 4, but remember that the cheapest iPod to get the full fat upgrade this summer costs more than £100 more than the priciest of these critters. You can bag a Creative Zen X-Fi Style by pre-ordering on Creative’s shop now, and they’ll ship on 14 April.

Out 14 April | £69.99/£99.99/£139.99 (8/16/32GB) | Creative
