Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is more than an Android smartphone, it’s a true media phone too, neatly marrying Android abilities with best in class photography, movie and music skills. In Android phone circles it’s rare to find a true media phone, but the Xperia X10 carries off its entertainment abilities with aplomb.Read on, and we’ll spell out its unique abilities in full.

From its Mediascape features, which organise all your photos, music and videos to its gorgeous 8.1 megapixel camera, complete with smart photography features and video recording, the Xperia X10 is a media phone through and through.

The Xperia X10’s Timescape function, a neat bit of software that automatically corrals all your communication into one place, also means it’s a great communicator. You can easily skip back through time to catch up with previous confabs, either seeing your mobile life as it panned out in chronological order, or by specific contacts. Best of all, Timescape integrates with Twitter and Facebook, as well as the Android phone’s e-mail and text messages.

All those features come wrapped in a slick shell, with Sony Ericsson slapping a gigantic 4 inch capacitive touchscreen up front. It’s large, and responsive, and begs to be touched. Click the links below, and we’ll spell out why you should make the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 your next mobile phone.

I have one of these and its slow.
Camera is rubbish and slow. video is worse than a flip video camera and its only 640*480, do not try and move of its really bad footage
But on the amer side the digital zoom works well which is odd?
Mediascape and Timescape runs even slower, takes an age to load anything
best feature is the screen, and yes I had a iPhone 3gs and I do miss the two finger zooming.
The android market place is all over the place.
If it was a brand new laptop Sony would install the lastest OS ( not netbooks ) , but no not this mobile its 1.6 not 2.1? OS
Due to screen res most normal apps games etc have problems displaying right. or just don’t fill the screen and leave a big gap.

Why the hell they put the charger port on the top is beyond me. its a pain when using Copilot on it as the power cable goes into you windscreen viewing area.
Found it will not charge with none Sony parts, try’d a few ciggy to usb and none worked, yet would on iphone.

Have to have mobile on to charge it ( but iphone is like that too ).
still will only store most apps on the system flash
Claims to have 1gb built in but there is only just over 350mb left for our use.
from what is on there site can only take 16gb microSD cards?
The default sony keyboard is a pain, and no matter what you do something do need pressing more than once to get them to work.

But I do like the fat I can change the battery…

And the games it can resize right look blocky
