An iPad video unboxing has been posted online by Stephen Fry, arguably Britain’s most famous Apple fan and a close friend of iPad designer Jonathan Ives. With the iPad not launching in the US until Saturday, Stephen Fry is part of the exclusive group who’ve got their hands on an iPad early. Read on to watch the Stephen Fry iPad video…

Stephen Fry is a man of many talents and it seems gadget reviewer is now firmly fixed on his CV. On Twitter he promises that the short iPad video unboxing will be followed by an iPad review for Time. Other iPad reviews are already starting to spill out with Walt Mossberg at the Wall Street Journal seemingly getting there first.

The iPad video snatched by Stephen Fry is quite basic, simply showing him removing the iPad from its Apple Store bag. He also shows the iPad case, iPad keyboard dock and iPad dock. Sadly the iPad video only goes as far as showing those items sat in their boxes.

While it seems Stephen Fry is in the US at the moment, grabbing an iPad now means he’s very possibly the UK’s first iPad owner. That’s a big deal when the rest of us are still waiting for a iPad UK price.

As well as revealing his iPad video hands-on, Stephen Fry has also been showcasing iPad apps on his Twitter feed. Stay tuned for a round-up of the iPad apps that have broken cover.
