iPad video support is spreading across the web with Flickr the latest site to add support specifically for iPad users. The Flickr HTML 5 player will mean iPad owners can explore Flickr photos and videos.

Flickr has added HTML 5 specifically to ensure that the iPad won’t be excluded from the photo and video sharing site.

In a short blog post, Flickr employee Markus Spiering said: “We just launched HTML5 video playback for everyone with a hankering for a shiny, new iPad.”

Now anyone visiting Flickr from an iPad will be automatically directed to the HTML5 video player which will show any Flickr video including HD clips.

It’s not surprising Flickr has added iPad video support as its parent company Yahoo recently suggest the iPad will change human behaviour.

It seems like the iPad Flash battle isn’t going to end anytime soon with Google Chrome integrating Flash, Brightcove adding HTML5 support and now Flickr joining in.
