An MSI Wind U250 ultra portable laptop just leaked out, and it promises to be a serious rival to the Asus Eee PC 1210N, with a dual core processor, low pricetag and dedicated graphics. Read on for what we know so far.
The MSI Wind U250 laptop isn’t official, but the game is all but up as the model number, specs and price have popped up on the database for gadgets with the US Department of Energy’s Energy Star efficiency seal of approval.
The 12-inch MSI Wind U250 packs a 320GB hard drive and 4GB of RAM, and tantalisingly, is listed with a dual core 1.3GHz processor, which Liliputing notes is likely to be an AMD Neo CPU. That means a speedier experience milling around on the machine, which also packs 512MB of dedicated graphics, likely an ATI Radeon HD 3200 GPU for chomping through streaming video.
MSI Wind U160 netbook unboxed!
There’s no word on a release date for the MSI Wind U250 just yet, but the price is listed at $600, so we should see it landing in the region of £400 when or if it ships to the UK.
