Dragon Age and Mass Effect both look set for new additions with countdown clocks on their websites which are set to end on Monday. Could this mean we’re getting brand new Dragon Age and Mass Effect games or just a selection of new Dragon Age DLC?
Countdown timers have appeared on the Bioware website, the Dragon Age website and the Mass Effect web outpost. All of them are counting down until Monday when presumably Bioware has something new to reveal.
Two new Mass Effect 2 DLC packs were launched yesterday – The Firewalker and an Alernative Appearance Pack – so it seems unlikely that Mass Effect 2 will be getting anything new.
It could be a Dragon Age 2 announcement with EA already having pegged the Dragon Age sequel for a 2011 release date. But some are speculating that it could be Star Wars: The Old Republic news as its also got a 2011 due date slapped on it. If that’s true, why not trail it on the MMORPG’s own site rather than via Dragon Age and Mass Effect?
We’d put our money on more Mass Effect 2 DLC and more news about Dragon Age 3, given that Dragon Age: Awakenings has been so popular with the flying lizard lovers of the gaming world. But with E3 just around the corner it does seem a little odd that Bioware are announcing something on Monday. Still, at least we don’t have long to wait.
Due Monday | £TBC | Bioware
