The Asus G73 laptop turned heads back at CES in January thanks to its sloping design, supposedly based on a stealth fighter jet. The Taiwanese PC peddler kept mum on the details at the time, but has now come through with the UK price, specs and launch date, and we’ve got them all right here for you.
Looks aside, the Asus G73 is certainly a monster machine that should have you sauntering through Crysis like a casual Sunday stroll: the 17.3-inch beast packs a full HD screen, Intel Core i7-720QM processor and 8GB of DDR3 memory to power through games, along with a Blu-ray drive, 1TB of storage and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 graphics.

It’s the Asus G73′s casing that helps it stand out from the other Alienware wannabes on the scene though. Its matte black finish and five degree sloping keyboard are supposedly inspired by the insane Asus Airo laptop concept, and while we’re struggling to spot the similarities, there’s no denying the Asus G73 is easier on the eye than most gaming laptop monstrosities.
The Asus G73 ships in the UK next month, for a rather hefty £1,899. It’s a tall asking price, but if you’re a gamer who simply can’t abide desktops, it should keep you running the latest titles for a long time yet.
