Up to four Samsung Windows Phone 7 Series ready handsets could ship this Summer, according to an insider, and one of them at least could use Sammy’s sensational Super AMOLED display tech. Is the HTC HD2 about to lose its crown as the king of Windows Mobile?
According to Mobile Review‘s Eldar Murtazin, who has a tremendous track record of leaking phones early, Samsung has four turbo charged Windows Mobile handsets ready for the Summer, and is currently in talks with Microsoft to ensure that all are upgradeable to Windows Phone 7 Series on release at the end of the year.
It’s been almost a year since Samsung’s last big Windows Mobile hardware refresh so the move sounds more than a tad plausible, but it gets better: Murtazin has tweeted out some of the specs of one of the Samsung Windows Phone 7 Series ready handsets, claiming it will include a four inch Super AMOLED screen (The eye popping tech seen on the Samsung Wave) with HD video support.

We doubt that Samsung’s Windows Phone 7 Series plans will play a part in Samsung’s unveiling at CTIA in Las Vegas today, but it’s good to know that it’s gearing up to best the mighty HTC HD2 Windows Mobile phone, and before the distant Windows Phone 7 Series launch too.
