Google Maps is testing a new feature which displays hotel prices when you search for them in a certain area. It’s not available to every Google Maps user yet but it looks like it could make searching for a hotel for your holidays even easier…

The new holiday price search feature in Google Maps has only been opened up to select users so far. It lets you search for hotels in a specific area and then check the prices for the number of nights and dates you want to stay, all from within Google Maps.

The prices given for hotels are drawn from Google sponsored results ads so you won’t be getting independent reviews of hotel in Google Maps but rather they’re own advertised rates.

Google says its testing the new Google Maps feature as a potential new form of advertising. If it rolls the feature out to all Google Maps users, expect other shops and services to get in on the act too.
