A SlingPlayer Android app has finally been revealed, almost a year and a half after we broke the news that TV streaming company Sling Media was considering the platform. It’s out in the Summer, but we’ve got video of it in action right here!
Android Invasion! Everything you need to know about Android phones
If we’re honest, the SlingPlayer Android app should have happened a lot time ago (The BlackBerry version launched way back in 2008), but Google phone users can take solace in seeing it running in the video below on both a Google Nexus One and a Motorola Milestone/Droid, showing sources from another state in America.
Although the company rep says the SlingPlayer Android app UI isn’t finalised, we know that it’ll run over 3G and Wi-Fi, so if you’ve got a Sling Box under your telly, you’ll be able to access any channel, or all your recorded shows, from just about anywhere.
SlingPlayer Android app primed?
There’s no word yet on how much the SlingPlayerAndroid app will cost, but we won’t be too surprised if it comes in at the iPhone asking price of £17.99
