Virgin Media just scooped up a trio of new Android smartphones, including the HTC Desire and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. We’ve got the breakdown on the bunch right here, as well as the launch dates, so read on for the details.

First up, the HTC Desire, the remixed Google Nexus One with HTC’s Sense software and a new finish goes on sale through Virgin Media next month, marking yet another network to stock the new flagship Google phone. Although tariffs are yet to be announced, we’re told they’re “compelling”: we just hope that means it’ll be cheaper than on T-Mobile.

Next up, Virgin Media has thrown its hat into the ring for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, just days after we learned the first Android phone from the company was headed to Three. Again, it’s due in April, which matches Vodafone’s shipping dates for the far too long awaited smartphone.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Portal has landed on Virgin Media too. Originally only available on T-Mobile, you can now get the budget Android phone on Virgin Media form £22 per month on contract, with 250 minutes and unlimited texts and data.

Virgin Media already sells the LG InTouch Max GW620, so it’s filling out its Android stable nicely. We’ve got our eyes firmly set on the HTC Legend for now, but if you’re on a Virgin contract about to expire, come next month you’ll still be spoiled for choice.
