Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker was set to creep on to shop shelves in May, but it’s proved so stealthy that Konami has had to give us word of a delay. Whip out your calendar and read on to mark off the new launch date for the next game in the epic saga.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, the next chapter in Hideo Kojima’s series, was set to ship for PSP and PSPgo on 28 May, but a slip of a few weeks means it now won’t be available in the UK until 18 June. That’s not a Duke Nukem Forever length wait, admittedly, but could clash with the World Cup if you’re an avid gamer and a footie fan. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will however launch 10 days earlier in North America, on 8 June.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker takes place after the events of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and sees you take the reigns as Naked Snake in 1974, during the Cold War. The game will also allow for multiplayer online through a PS3.
