The Sony Ericsson Vivaz, preloaded with Spotify, has landed on Three. We were promised more Spotify deals from the network, but we weren’t expecting this: while Three has kindly installed the Spotify Symbian app for you, this time it’s not including Premium membership in the tariff.

We were quite taken with Three’s HTC Hero tariff that included Spotify Premium membership, so you could stream just about any song you liked to your phone on demand, and while it’s good to see Three continuing that partnership with the Sony Ericsson Vivaz eight megapixel cameraphone, the bring your own membership approach isn’t so tempting.

Three says it will charge £349.99 for the Sony Ericsson Vivaz on Pay As You Go, while it can be had free up front on a two year monthly contract of £35 with unlimited data and texts, and 750 minutes of calls.

But if you want to use Spotify on your Sony Ericsson Vivaz, you’ll also need to pay £9.99 per month on top of that, so your monthly bank account haemorrhage will be closer to £45.

We spoke to Three to ask if future bundles for the Sony Ericsson Vivaz will include Spotify Premium, and while a spokesperson could not confirm anything, we were told “that’s not to say it won’t happen in future.” In the market for a Sony Ericsson Vivaz? Shop wisely.
