The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Android smartphone could be headed to Three when it launches. That’s according to top brass at the network, who revealed that more Google handsets are to come: read on for the full lowdown.

Three already sells the HTC Hero Android phone and has announced it will get the HTC Desire too, but now David Kerrigan, Three’s head of internet services has said that six more Android phones will be launched over the next three months, including models from Samsung and Sony Ericsson.

Unless the Samsung Beam projector phone gets a surprise UK release, we’re not too interested in Samsung’s Android offerings, but we’re excited by the prospect of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 hitting Three, complete with its snazzy social networking skills and enormous display.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini headed to Vodafone

Of course, Kerrigan could have been hinting at launches for the slimmed down Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini or X10 Mini Pro that we handled back at Mobile World Congress last month. But given that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is set to finally ship on Vodafone in April, and Vodafone’s not mentioned the word “exclusive” anywhere, we wouldn’t be surprised if it was the original Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.

Kerrigan also confirmed that the Spotify Android app “will be available as an add-on for all contract tariffs going forward,” suggesting it could bundle bargain access to Spotify Premium on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 as it has done on the HTC Hero.

We’ve reached out to both Sony Ericsson and Three for comment, and we’ll update as and when we gleam any more details.

The big question is when will it launch? They have been showing demo for ages but no phone. SE surely knows how to screw up things.

We’re told April, according to Vodafone. But yes, that will mean six months have passed since we were first shown it in action.

I don’t think it’s too big a secret. it says here on the 3 blog “We have recently launched the Nokia X6 16GB and the Sony Ericsson X10 and Samsung Galaxy Portal are on the way”
