The HTC Supersonic failed to appear at Mobile World Congress last month, but the mammoth, first 4G Android smartphone is coming up fast. How do we know? Why, because of this new video, showing it in action. Read on to see it!
The HTC Supersonic may lack the bright red back of its rumoured brother, the HTC Incredible, but it more than makes up for it with a massive 4.3-inch screen, just like the HTC HD2, and Android 2.1 with Sense social networking software, rather than rubbishy Windows Mobile 6.5.
It’s also believed to run on WiMAX, meaning you’ll get faster speeds surfing the web than on any 3G phone out right now. It’s a shame that gloved tipster showing off the HTC Supersonic here doesn’t dig deeper to show us what it can do, but the level of caution he shows indicates this phone is legit, and coming soon.
Whether or not the HTC Supersonic will appear in the UK however is another question, as this country sorely lacks a widespread WiMAX network. But HTC, if you feel like putting a 3G radio in the HTC Supersonic, we’ll still buy it. Hit that play button to see why.
