The iPad accessories party just got crashed by Philips, marking the entry of another big player before the Apple tablet has even gone on sale. The Dutch giant is promising cases and even dedicated stereos and iPad headphones, so read on for the full plans.
While the iPad itself isn’t out until the end of the month, Philips has showed its hand with its new line of Philips iPad accessories on a new site already. Unsurprisingly cases are the order of the day, with a red padded sleeve and a black leather case the most attractive of its new iPad accessories.

Philips isn’t done there though: as well as screen protector, similar to Griffin’s, there are some more unexpected iPad accessories, including a speaker, and “comfort fit” headphones.
Yes, we’re not sure what would differentiate either from other 3.5mm speakers and earphones, but we’ll wait and see what tricks Philips has up its sleeves when the line up of Philips iPad accessories is ready to go on sale.
