Crysis 2 isn’t set to arrive until late-2010 (some people say as soon as October, others predict a December release date) but EA has finally punted out some official screenshots. Though we have to admit one of the new Crysis 2 screenshots does look rather similar to an illustration in the earlier batch of Crysis 2 images.
Crysis 2 broke cover last month with the first set of images from the game but we’ve now got a pair of more high quality screenshots to take a gander at. The first one is almost identical to one of the earlier images but the graphics have been distinctly perked up with a lot more detail on show.
Crysis 2 hasn’t got a definite release date yet but we do know (as you can see from the two screenshots) that it’s got a new setting, ditching the tropical jungle for New York’s urban jungle. The new Crysis 2 screenshots don’t actually show gameplay though as the game will be a first person shooter.
Fingers crossed that we might hear some more Crysis 2 news at the Game Developers Conference. In the mean time we’ll just stare at these Crysis 2 screenshots and revel in their graphical glory.
