We first got to grips with the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CS1 pistol 1080i camcorder back at CES in January, but now the imaging guru tells us it’s hitting UK stores from this Friday, priced around £249.

For your money, the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CS1 will also double up as an eight megapixel still camera, and slots into your average pocket, despite the foldout 2.7-inch screen. The Sanyo Xacti VPC-CS1 is also future proofed thanks to SDXC memory card support, so you’ll be able to record hours on end without running out of bootspace.
