Firefox Mobile hit the Nokia N900 this time last month but now it looks like Google Android will be getting it’s own version imminently. Read on to find out which Google Android handsets have been hanging out at Mozilla HQ…
Firefox Mobile first appeared on a Motorola Droid (aka the Motorola Milestone) over the weekend in a snap on the official Firefox for Mobile Facebook page.
A further image of Firefox Mobile on the Google Nexus One also made its way onto the Facebook page via the Flickr account of Madhava Enros of the Mozilla Mobile team.
Both snaps refer to the version of Firefox Mobile running on the Google Nexus One and the Motorola Droid as Fennec which was Firefox Mobile’s original codename. That suggests both are running early builds of the Android version.
Mozilla ruled out Firefox Mobile for iPhone and Blackberry last year but it’s obviously getting on with delivering a Google Android version to go with the Nokia and Windows Mobile variants.
