We like Bing. And we love the idea behind its latest gesture: sign up and Microsoft’s search engine will donate money for every search you make to Sport Relief. It’s just a shame that to do just that, you need to use Internet Explorer.

The promotion, Give With Bing, uses Every Click technology to tally your searches through Bing, and for every ten you make, 5p will go to Sports Relief. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but if you have a desk job and use Bing as your primary search engine, it could soon add up.

Unfortunately, we’re a bit disappointed to see that despite Microsoft saying “all Bing.com users will be offered the option to take part in the scheme”, the only Bing users who can are those using Internet Explorer, ruling out all Mac users and anyone who prefers Firefox, Chrome or Opera to Microsoft’s browsers.
