The more we see of Splinter Cell Conviction, the more excited we’re getting. No longer in Metal Gear Solid’s shadow, the latest game in the Tom Clancy franchise is shaping up to be a masterclass in action. Check out the video after the break, and you’ll see it’s deliciously, absurdly over the top. Splinter Cell Conviction isn’t out until April, but this new trailer gives away a little bit more about what to expect. Read on, see the video, and stuff your eyeballs with Splinter Cell Conviction’s unique brand of action.
Although Splinter Cell Conviction still promises plenty of stealth, we can’t help but think it echoes Max Payne and 24 more than anything else. We’re talking a murdered family revenge plot, a slow-mo building explosion and of course, a plot to assassinate the President. The new Splinter Cell Conviction trailer even features a new spin on the infamous Matrix lobby entrance scene.
