Samsung EX1 compact pro shooter unveiled!

With the Samsung EX1 compact camera, Sammy is trying to blur the boundary between compact, bridge and DSLR snappers already muddied by the beautiful new Sony Alpha concept today. Yes, it’s a point and shoot, but one that supports RAW and packs one of the most impressive lenses ever seen on something so slim.

The Samsung EX1 is a 10 megapixel compact that aims to go seriously up market, offering punters some serious pro controls, including the ability to tweak aperture of the f/1.8 24mm wide angle lens, and shoot in RAW for more editing options once you’ve got back to base.

Sony Alpha compact DSLR camera due this year!

On the back of the Samsung EX1, you’ll find a swiveling 3-inch AMOLED screen, and the new compact shoots H.264 video at a smooth 30 frames per second. Sadly, it’s not high def, but that could be the only failing in an otherwise super slim super shooter.

The Samsung EX1 will ship for a cost just shy of four hundred quid. A release date is still MIA but take a look at it up close in our Samsung EX1 gallery now, and we’ll be back with more before you know it.
