BioShock 2 DLC dated and detailed!

Blitzed your way through BioShock 2 yet? 2K Games has guessed as much, and just hit us with word of stacks of downloadable content on the way, kicking off next month and adding extra features and gameplay to both single and multiplayer. Read on for the full skinny.

Call it cynical drip feeding or bonus levels you’d happily pay more for, but BioShock 2 is getting the full DLC treatment, starting in March with Sinclair Solutions Test Pack for £3.19 on the PlayStation Network, and 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE.

The first BioShock 2 DLC pack adds a new weapon upgrade for every gun, two new playable characters (Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca, if you’re asking), five extra masks and rank increase ceiling raised to level 50, plus 20 new trials.

The BioShock 2 DLC doesn’t stop there though: anyone less than impressed with the multiplayer option in the atmospheric shooter will be able to extend the single player game too, with packages 2K Games says “include more narrative, new tools and new challenges that extend the lore and fiction of the failed Utopia under the sea.” So er, more levels? We’ll take that.

2K Games says these new BioShock 2 DLC add-ons will arrive over the coming months, so look for them to appear on your console of choice’ online hub soon.
