Just days after Vodafone confirmed it’ll be stocking the new HTC Desire in the UK, 3 has followed suit and confirmed the Nexus One-alike will also be at home on its network. Not surprising news, but welcome nontheless. We hear HTC has been innundated with interest in the HTC Desire from operators, and virtually all carriers will soon be stocking it.
3 isn’t offering the vanilla version of the HTC Desire though. Its version will pack Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Email on 3 and Twitter as standard, alongside an “integrated Facebook application.”

If we’re honest, the latter seems a bit pointless, since the HTC Desire comes with Friend Stream as part of the updated HTC Sense UI, letting you see Twitter, Facebook and Flickr updates all in one place.
We’ve asked 3 about tariffs for the HTC Desire, but at the time of writing these have yet to be confirmed. The phone will go on sale in store, online and via 3 telesales in Spring 2010.
