Sony Ericsson kicked off Mobile World Congress announcing the Xperia X10 mini, Xperia X10 mini pro and Vivaz pro. Those three new phones join the original Xperia X10 and Vivaz to create what Sony Ericsson’s calling its “fab five” for 2010, they dominated Sony Ericsson’s booth, which was smaller than we expected. Come and take a virtual tour.
Sony Ericsson’s Mobile World Congress booth is sandwiched in pretty tight, in fact the whole place feels like a wood-clad corridor, with a gigantic silver sculpture squeezed in the middle. That sculpture is more than an obstacle though, it’s embedded with screens showing demos of Sony Ericsson’s new handsets.
Tucked away at the end of the booth are Sony Ericsson’s other handsets, labeled as its “family,” it’s pretty clear they’re an extended family though: Sony Ericsson wants everyone to focus on its newest, Android and Symbian smartphones.
