The Acer beTouch E400 Android phone is here and official, to follow up the company’s Liquid phone we broke the news of late last year. We’ve snapped it for a hands-on photo shoot, so read on for pics, video and impressions!
The Acer beTouch E400′s a well specced blower on paper. While its Qualcomm 600MHz processor isn’t comparable to the bleeding edge Snapdragon chip in the Liquid, it’s much slimmer (12mm) and the 3.2 inch screen is still nice, bright and legible. GPS, WI-Fi and a five megapixel camera are also included in the Acer beTouch E400, so it’s only the clock speed and screen resolution you’re really missing out on – though we’d say it’s a fair trade off considering how much slicker the Acer beTouch E400 looks, and the bump to the latest version of Google’s OS.
Acer E110 budget Android phone spotted!
But, and it’s a big but, the Acer beTouch E400 we tried out had a horrifically unresponsive screen, making typing in URLs a complete nightmare. The non-standard keyboard Acer is using may play a part, but we hope it can fix it, as the Acer beTouch E400 is otherwise one polished Google blower.
Still check out the Acer beTouch E400 up close here, along with a few bonus shots of the budget Android E110 phone too. Enjoy!
