Toshiba’s second gen monster-phone, the TG02, has broken cover. We’ve been smudging its massive 4.1 inch screen already. Read on, gawp at our hands-on photos, and see the TG02 in action right here!
The Toshiba TG02 follows on from last year’s TG01. This time, Toshiba has ditched the complete re-skinning of Windows Mobile in favour of a few more subtle tweaks.
Touch sensitive keys line the lower lip of the TG02’s face, below a VGA resolution capacitive touchscreen. It’s immeasurably faster than the TG01, but still stuttered occasionally on our first prod.
Inside is a 1Ghz processor, just the same as the Toshiba TG01, although Toshiba’s bods on its Mobile World Congress stand couldn’t confirm whether it’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon, just like the original.
Inside is Windows Mobile, with a few shortcut keys of Toshiba’s making chucked in for good measure. As you’d expect, the Toshiba TG02 is astonishingly slim, considering the size of its screen, measuring just 12.9mm thick.
