Star Trek Online’s beta period ended with a massive Borg attack, now the sinister assimilating enemies are set to arrive in the MMO proper as part of a free content update rolling out over the next two months.

The Star Trek Online patch will add a new series of high-level episodes which will put players in the heart of planet and space-based conflicts with the Borg. The new missions will lead up to a final battle with the Borg Queen.

The video above includes a glimpse of the Borg queen and shows the Star Trek Online universe absolutely swamped with Borg cubes. We’re still eager to see the Borg invade some more earthly cubes with a Star Trek Online console version.
