The Toshiba Cell TV has had a long and tortuous journey from launch that makes the Eee Keyboard’s look brief, but the Tosh has just come through with a European launch plan for it, and yes, it’ll support 3D. Read on to find out just when it hits.
Toshiba Europe has confirmed today that the Toshiba Cell TV, an upscaling, channel multitasking monster and stalwart at tech tradeshows, will launch across the continent this Autumn.
Up close with the Toshiba Cell TV
The full spec for a European Toshiba Cell TV has yet to be set in stone, but the company outlines several new features on the Cell processor powered gogglebox, including Net Resolution+, for upscaling internet video, video calling, and 3D support. Toshiba also claims the Toshiba Cell TV will happily convert 2D to 3D in “near real time”, but we’ll hold judgment on how that looks until we see it.
We’ll bring you word on the final launch model as soon as it breaks, but in the meantime, check out our last hands-on with it right here.
