The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 February launch date for the SIM free version of the Android smartphone on Play.com just got pushed way back. If you were hoping to beat Vodafone adopters to the punch, it looks like you’re out of luck – read on for the details.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has already been dated for April on Vodafone – nearly six months after the phone was first launched – but we were hoping against hope that some models might trickle through before then. Play.com has been listing the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 SIM free for launch on 19 February, but that’s just dropped to 29 March, potentially giving those prepared to pay upfront just a two day headstart.
If it’s any consolation though, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 model Play.com is selling comes in “sensuous black”, so when it does come, it should hopefully sate your gadget lust.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 dated by Vodafone
We could still see another network offering the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 at a different date, as Vodafone doesn’t claim exclusivity on the phone peddler’s first Google phone, but it looks like we’ll be waiting another few lunar rotations before it arrives. Will the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10′s Android 1.6 feel too outdated by then? We’ll let you know as soon as final review units ship.
