The LG GT350 sliding QWERTY keyboard phone is stepping out into officialdom for the first time ahead of Mobile World Congress. Like its predecessor, the KS360, it’s designed for pounding out texts and emails, but this time Facebook and Twitter are integrated right in. But without BBC iPlayer, can it take on the Samsung Genio Slide?
The LG GT350 messaging phone packs a 3-inch touchscreen with a surprisingly sharp WVGA resolution, and an improved keyboard (four lines instead of three on the KS360). The QWERTY keyboard that slides out from underneath on the LG GT350 has dedicated buttons for social networks, push email (multiple account support included, natch), internet and instant messaging.
LG hasn’t given any word on media support on the LG GT350 however, so we don’t know if you can watch TV on it as you can the new budget QWERTY from arch rival Samsung, or even if there’s a 3.5mm audio port for your own headphones. We’ve got our fingers crossed though.
LG Mini super slim touchphone unveiled
The LG GT350 is out in Europe in April in blue, purple, silver and black, but we suspect we might just bump into it at Mobile World Congress next week, so stay tuned for a hands-on shortly.
