The Canon IXUS 130 is Canon‘s latest offerings for the skinny jeans or tiny handbag crowd: a teeny compact with a huge sensor and outrageous colour. We snagged a quick hands-on with it, so read on to see it up close.
The Canon IXUS 130 doesn’t pack the huge optical zoom of the PowerShot IXUS 210 IS, but at just 17.8mm thin, the selling point here is portability. You can see just how small it is chilling out in the palm of our hand in the gallery, and it’s as light as it looks too.
Despite the size though, the Canon IXUS 130 fits in a 14.1 megapixel sensor for hi-rezzy pics and 720p HD video recording, and as you’d expect for a slim compact, it’s designed with people shots in mind. The Canon IXUS 130 can recognise up to 35 faces in one frame, and packs canon’s new FaceSelf-Timer tech, which lets you set up the shot, walk into it, and trigger capture with a wink.
