Asus UL50-Vf: hands-on photos!

The Asus UL50-Vf is the first laptop to pack NVIDIA’s new Optimus technology for seamless graphic card switching and power saving, and we’ve gone up close with it already. See all the shots here!

The Asus UL50-Vf is only a minor rejig of the Asus UL50 laptop already on sale: it still packs a 15.6-inch screen and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and that lovely island keyboard. But the Asus UL50-Vf also adopts NVIDIA Optimus tech, so it’ll flick on the dedicated NVIDIA GT310M GPU for gaming, but turn it off and save the battery life when you’re just surfing the web.

The Asus UL50-Vf is set to debut in the UK in March, for around £799-849, with an Optimus version of the N61JV laptop to follow shortly too. Check out the Asus UL50-Vf up close in our gallery here and we’ll be back with a review before you know it.
