With natter about a new MacBook Pro rocking a lightning fast Intel Core i7 doing the rounds, just what else has Apple got locked up in Jonny Ive’s design den? With the iPad out and proud, it’s time to put aside your tablet cravings and start thinking about other Apple must-haves. Here’s our definitive round-up of the gadgets Steve Jobs must tout in 2010.

MacBook Pro with Intel Core i7
Plans for a MacBook Pro with Intel Core i7 have swept the web, with benchmarks showing off Cupertino’s plans to fire up the insanely speedy new chip in its top end lappies. Intel wouldn’t comment on Apple’s plans at CES when we quizzed them at their presser, but with the best PCs already locked and loaded with Core i7, the MacBook Pro needs to get in on the act stat.

All new Apple TV
We’ve been begging Apple for a killer new take on the Apple TV for ages. And the “hobby product” has to get a new look this year. We’re not just talking motion control to match the Wii and Playstation Arc. We want a Freeview HD TV tuner, app access and, quite simply, a solid reason to lash out a load of cash on this slice of set top gadgetry.

iPhone 4.0
The next-gen iPhone is doubtless round the corner. And with Android marching on, it’s imperative that Apple gets this one spot on first time round. More space for tunes and flicks is a must, with customisable screens from the iPad adding a neat facelift. A beefed-up camera is also imperative to ensure that the iPhone is keeping up with the Google-based Joneses.

iPod touch with Classic storage levels
The iPod touch’s 64GB of storage is more than ample for all but the biggest of media junkies. But that’s not to say we don’t want more. A 128GB model is surely next up and would let movie mad travellers cart about enough clips for the lengthiest of round-the-world jaunts. Surely better than squinting at a Classic and you get added space for the App Store’s hottest titles too.

iPhone nano
We all know that iPhone 4.0 is due to land this summer. But surely now is the time for Apple to branch out and bring the iPhone to the masses with an iPhone nano. We’re talking pared down storage, a basic snapper, but with full App Store access and of course a bargain price tag. If Apple wants to compete with Google Android and its ability to slip into a raft of devices, an iPhone nano is the way to go.

iPhone nano. Ya. That will never happen and it’s an absolutely ridiculous idea. Brand dilution anyone?
