Could the Vodafone 360 Krystal phone take augmented reality to the next level? This leaked, twin screen tablet phone packs dual displays that show the world intelligently, translating on the fly and giving you location-based details on shops and points of interest.
Along with the seemingly believable Vodafone Compass QWERTY phone, Mobile-Review has put up a picture of what it says is the Vodafone 360 Krystal, and if it’s destined for retail, it’s a lot smarter and slicker than previous handsets rocking Vodafone’s social networking software suite.
Vodafone Compass: third 360 phone?
This Vodafone 360 Krystal phone purportedly has two screens, and some advanced augmented reality software: place it over foreign text and it’ll show the newspaper with the language translated. It can also be used to show details on top of shops in the real world, Layar style.
Though Mobile-Review has a strong track record when it comes to early leaks, we’re inclined to think the Vodafone 360 Krystal is still very much a concept, though if you’re reading Vodafone, we’ve love to see a handset with a 16:9 screen and slim black frame like this. Hint hint.
