The Simpsons took on Apple back in 2008 with its Mapple parody (which even include the rather familiar Steve Mobs). But now the iPhone has got an even more prominent guest spot at the heart of a Simpsons couch gag.
In the short sequence (it’ll take 11 seconds of your time), Homer discovers that Apple really has thought of everything. Couch gag? There’s an app for that.
Using the iPhone’s touchscreen, Homer adds each of The Simpsons onto the couch before his fun is interrupted by an incoming call from Mr Burns.
This is the second time this week that Apple has popped up in American pop culture. Stephen Colbert wielded an Apple iPad during his role as an award presenter during the Grammy Awards. Hopefully Steve Jobs himself will make an appearance one day. Perhaps wearing his hat.
