The Samsung M100S has just been unveiled, sporting the latest version of Android, 2.1, a stunning OLED screen and Samsung’s top notch hardware under the bonnet. We’ve got all the details on it right here, so read on to find out what’s what.

It’s not clear if the Samsung M100S is the rumoured Galaxy 2, but we wouldn’t say no to it: the Samsung M100S is packing a 3.7-inch AMOLED display, Wi-Fi, GPS, a five megapixel camera and even mobile digital TV reception, along with Samsung’s trademark TouchWiz UI (South Korean hand models sold separately).

We’re particularly taken by the central button, which thankfully doesn’t make the BlackBerry/Google Nexus One trackball mistake of being a trackball.

Whether we’ll see the Samsung M100S in the UK is another matter entirely: although it’s rocking the Jet/Omnia 2 design, the South Korean standard mobile TV support suggests not, but it’s good to know that the company is moving onto Android 2.1 already, and we’d be surprised if we didn’t see something similar at Mobile World Congress in two weeks’ time.
