The Nokia C5 phone we heard rumblings about a few weeks ago just popped up in some new, in the flesh shots online. As the first in the new Cseries, it’s not the cameraphone we heard talk about, but a seriously small candybar with Symbian S60 and other smartphone specs crammed in. Read on for all the details.
Daily Mobile’s managed to grab some non-blurry spyshots of the Nokia C5, which it says is due to make an appearance at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month. Despite its tiny frame to match the 6700 Classic, it’s running full blown Symbian S60, and packs a 3.2 megapixel camera, HSDPA and Wi-Fi for fast surfing, GPS, a microSD slot and FM radio – so there shouldn’t be much stopping it running the free turn by turn navigation on Ovi Maps.
We’re particularly taken by how vibrant the 2.2-inch screen on the Nokia C5 looks too, and wondering if it’s not an OLED affair like the panel on the Nokia N86.
The beanspiller didn’t reveal pricing for the Nokia C5 but we’re more than a little intrigued: if Nokia can bring the price in low enough, a full blown S60 candybar could have the cheap as chips INQ 3G running scared.
We’ll be live from Mobile World Congress later this month, so expect some more face time with the Nokia C5 soon.
