Apple has just outed iTunes 9.0.3, which it says, “Addresses issues that affect stability and performance,” in iTunes 9. But after months of problems with iTunes 9 struggling to play nice with iPod Classics across the globe, we want you to tell us if it fixes your old-school Apple jukebox.
We delved into iPod Classic syncing issues at the end of 2009, receiving a raft of complaints that iTunes 9 was causing iPods to fail, with slow syncing and complete failure to recognise the device high on your list of grievances.
Apple investigating iTunes 9 syncing issues
Apple also told us it was “investigating” the issues in December. And now with iTunes 9.0.3 out in the wild, it’s given us a statement detailing the additional features that the new update brings. “iTunes 9.0.3 provides a number of important bug fixes, including: iTunes no longer ignores your “Remember password for purchase” setting; Addresses problems with syncing some Smart Playlists and Podcasts with iPod; Resolves a problem recognising iPod is connected; Addresses issues that affect stability and performance.”
Sounds like it’s a fix for your iPod woes. But what we want to know is whether iTunes 9.0.3 has fixed your iPod Classic. Is it syncing ok? Have Apple’s fixes worked, or is your iPod Classic still not working properly?
Make sure you tell us in the comments section below, giving us as much detail as possible, including which generation iPod you’re using and whether you’re on a Mac or PC.
